Why should I use only Paragon replacement elements?

If you buy replacement elements from a source other than your kiln manufacturer, ask if the elements are bent where they fit into the firebrick corners. The bends greatly simplify element replacement. They make it easier to get the element into the back of each corner. This will help prevent the elements from bulging out later.

Element bends assure that you will not end up with too much or too little element length when you reach the other end of the element.

The original kiln manufacturer’s elements will fit properly. Since those elements are used regularly in the factory for new kilns, they are stretched to the correct length. (Otherwise the installers would complain to the element department.)
